Here's another contribution to the list of re-upholstered steel seats...mine was totally uncomfortable until I took it to Ace Auto Fabric in Kansas City, MO and told him to think '57 Chevy...

That's pretty sweet! Need to add a '57 chevy logo to the seat and a V8 emblem to the front of the guitar now.

Gives new meaning to the term "side car".

Bob, nice recover. Is that vinyl?

I don't recall where Ace is, but I thought it was near the Plaza on Main?

Thanks...no it's leather. Ace is around 16th and Charlotte. Been there for years. Joe (the proprietor is wonderfully creative and a great craftsman!!!)

Before I did this my rear end couldn't take 1 set on the undersized plank that came in the seat!

Of course, now I mostly play lap steel on a stand- standing up!

OK, I was thinking it was further south. I used to work on 12th st at the Federal Office building, not far trom there.
