Dicky Overbey of course is a great steel guitarist but the work he did with Floyd Tillman in my opinion is an example of the true down to earth real pedal steel guitar sound. I have listened to them on steel radio and that is the sound that beats all styles. I might be old fashioned but dog gonnit I'm proud of it. I'm not all that fond of the other singers Dicky plays behind but now when he played steel behind Floyd Tillman that is positivley MUSIC. |

Ever since someone posted that Christmas tune Joy To The World by Dicky, I for one have been a sworn Dickey Overbey fan
