I'm posting this mainly to see if the PhotoBucket imaging works.

This is me playing what the others at our session called the Electric Barbed-Wire Fence. Notice the headphones. I couldn't hear the output of the steel without the headphones and the others at the session couldn't hear the steel until we played back the tape, and since we only had two channels reel-to-reel in those days (a Ferrograph 632H) you couldn't remove anything after it had been recorded.http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n90/AlanFBrookes/

Alan

If you copy and paste the [img] line on your photobucket picture, your picture would come up on here.

It seems to have worked. It's quite a timepiece. Did I really use that wallpaper ? Look how we used to hang mikes from the ceiling by their cords to avoid floor noise. This was my bedroom at the time, which doubled as a recording studio. Believe it or not we once got nine musicians into that tiny room.

The house has since been compulsorily purchased by the City of Birmingham and torn down. They're building a park there. They should include a plaque which says Alan Brookes and friends held jam sessions here from 1963 till 1980 !
