The American Legion in Corona,California right next door to " Swiss Dairy Farms " was dancing all over the hardwood floor to real Country Music with Ron Epperson on Steel Guitar,Tommy Gobel on Bass Guitar,Mike Torrence on Drums & myself,Leo J.Eiffert,Jr. on Lead Guitar. It was a Merle Haggard night with Tommy & Myself singing all of them ole Hag songs. Thanks for the Gig Ron Epperson.I had a great time pickin with you guys.I filled in for Jimmy Lester. Will see you on Sunday April 6th at the Fender Museum with the Hag.> > > Leo J.Eiffert,Jr.

Leo, sounds like you had a fun gig. I don't know Mike Torrence but say hay to Tommie & Ron for me. I worked with Tommie (AKA "Big Boy") now and then back in the old days. Tell Ron that I saw his old drummer (Bruce MacLachlan) from his days with the Eddy Drake band a few months ago and we keep in touch by phone from time to time. Bruce is living in Hot Springs, Arkansas now and still married to Lynn.....JH in Va.

Hey Jerry,I did have a great time.I've got to play some of them old licks like at D.J.Ranch in North Long Beach,Ca.,real Country Music. When you can play with pros it helps to bring out your best in you if you have any.Man,Ron Epperson was on his vocally.I've never heard him sing so well.Ole Tommy still got it and more in old age. Mike Torrence is a little younger than us,but, plays some great country drums. All in all they make me want to be almost a pro again. Later brother & take care,Leo J.Eiffert,Jr.
