I'm hoping that someone can help me out. I recently bought a 1983 Sho Bud Pro 1.
I'm pretty new at all of this so please excuse me if I use the wrong names for the parts. Last night as I was playing the pull bar (I think that's what it is called) for the A pedal came falling down from the undercarriage. The small bracket that hooks around the cross rod broke for some reason. See picture below:[img]
Does anyone know of where I can find a part to replace this? Also, is this something I can fix myself and if so how?
Thanks for all of your help.

Look up John Coop, here on the forum, he makes parts for the Sho-Bud guitars, also so does Duane Marrs. |

OOPS, the dreaded pot metal bellcrank. I dis-assembled an old Super Pro last weekend that I'm going to restore, and found several of these broken. I'll use a different type of bellcrank when I put it back together. These were a very poor design, just slightly over tightening the setscrew can break them. Actually the design was OK, but the choice of material was not. A solid aluminum part made like this would have worked fine. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

As far as doing it yourself is concerned... go ahead if you're inclined. Jusy go slow and remember where everything goes. I personally don't work on my own steel, preferring to let the pros do what they do best. The downside of that is the time factor and shipping expense.
The upside is if you get into trouble or if you think you're in over your head, there's plenty of knowlegeable people in here willing to guide you along.
Good luck friend. _________________ The only thing better than doing what you love is having someone that loves you enough to let you do it.
