Link to auction on eBay.

I love lap steel guitars.
I love to play them.
I collect them.
I don't understand.

Did I miss something here or was this just another stupid auction thing?

It's sure an unusual shaped instrument. Would have looked nice on your wall. Don't know if the price is OK.
