Here's the latest addition to my MSA collection. I've posted a couple of pictures elsewhere on the forum, but this guitar deserves it's own thread.

If you visited the MSA room at the Texas show before Saturday morning, you probably saw this guitar. It has a beautiful white pearl finish and white legs to match. Kyle also made the pedal bar a little different, with a white center to match the body, framed with polished aluminum.

This guitar has Tonealigner pickups, which I really like so far. I had mostly used Truetones on the E9th necks of my other MSA's, but I think the T/A's sound just as good. Of course, this guitar plays great with a nice setup by Frank Carter. I don't know if the 24 1/4" scale makes much difference or not, but it sounds really good to me.

I'm also trying out a Tribo Tone bar that I bought at the Texas show, and I really like it. In addition to various colors being available, it is easy to control and sustains just as good or better than my stainless and chrome bars I've used for years.

MSA, and GMC, good combo. If I were the kind of person that was a jealous type, I would be jealous, but I'm not, I'm glad for you. One question,,,,how do you decide which one to play????

Well Fred, at least we're thinking alike, but I actually named the guitar the "White Knight" when I ordered it almost a year ago. What else could we have called it????LOL

William, this guitar will not be seen behind chicken wire, (at least as long as I own it) but it will look elegant sitting on stage at the church where I play, nothing is too good or too pretty to play for the LORD.

Jim, It depends on what sound I want, series make them sound like old black Emmons', and parallel makes them sound like old Sho Buds. LOL

Bill, I change strings every 6 to 8 weeks, so when the strings need changed I just buy a new steel. Naw, not really. I just re-string another one and switch them out.

WOW I love it

I saw this axe at the Dallas show and these photos really don't do it justice. When I walked into the MSA room it just grabbed my attention and would let go...even though there were several other fine guitars in the room with it.

Darvin, you have what could be called "The MSA Collection". So give us a little review of each. Are they different in any great respect? Does one shine more than another in a particular setting? How are the new ones compared to your old steady? I would like to own a new MSA someday and am very curious about the commonality as well as the intrinsic differences.

Why is that Chris, does the band nod off to sleep and the preacher has to throw hymnals to wake you up? Just kidding of course. We have pretty lively services, but I haven't had to dodge anything being thrown yet.

Yes I saw this beauty at the TSGA show standing proudly in the MSA room.
I am on the wait list for 12 string Tone Aligner.

The gear keeps getting better and better.
We have a large ensemble praise and worship band and chorus. The music minister assigns me to electric bass, strat, or six string acoustic. He is not ready for steel guitar. yet!!!

Hey David, I can't knock Ford trucks, my last three trucks were Fords. I always liked GMC's though and really liked this one, so I bought it. It has a 6.2 liter engine (400 HP) with a 6 speed automatic/manual transmission, and all wheel drive. This baby will run, and the mileage is still considerably better than my last Ford. And of course, I had to have a vanity plate for it.

BTW, I enjoyed your playing in Dallas as usual, I had to leave early on Saturday morning and just didn't get to hear enough this year.

Probably ought to stay outa smoky environs with the Knight.
