ok....who played steel last week on american idol...and more importantly, who played dobro this week?
do these players play what they want, or what they're told?
i thought they were good, just curious. |

I think my old friend, Jay Leach was the steel player last week. He was playing the 5 string on the one song and I'd guess he pulled a double and was the steel player too.

The dobro player looked like it could be one of the Clark Brothers.....they won the "Next Great American Band" contest on TV last year....

hi jay...was just thinking of you...so you think it might be the clark kid? got him a big city job? all 3 of them are great...very cool they won that thing...actual pickers!!
dobro sounded real good...i'm wondering if i need an expensive dobro, or if i should just practice? |
