Does anybody know what the difference between the Peavey Nashville 112 and Bandit 112 amps is? They look very similar and have similar specs but the Bandit 112 is selling new for less than $400 mail order.
Thanks,

The Bandit is designed for lead guitar and "voiced" for Lead Guitar in the EQ section. Also the speaker is "voiced" for Lead guitar and has a different response than than the Nashville 112's amp and speaker which are "voiced" (designed) for Steel Guitar.
My personal opinion, don't even think about the Bandit for Pedal Steel Guitar. |

'Bout a $130, last time I checked!
Seriously though, the Bandit has a lot cheaper speaker, and they make a heck of a lot more of 'em. That's probably most of the reason for the price difference.
Buy the Nashville 112.
The Bandit is a kids' garage-band "rock guitar" amplifier. You probably wouldn't want to use it for pedal steel. |

Thanks Jack. I wasn't really considering one, but I was wondering why it was selling for so much cheaper than the NV112 even tho' the specs appear to be similar. I will just save up and get the real deal. Perhaps I can snag a good price on a used one here on the Forum.

The Bandit specs the same speaker as the NV112: 12" Blue Marvel speaker |

There is a different model Blue Marvel in the Nashville 112. |
