That is the name of a group who collects used guitar strings for 3rd world musicians who have trouble getting strings. They accept used SETS OF STANDARD GUITAR STRINGSin good condition at the following address:

I will gladly send a couple sets of new strings to that address. Maybe if a bunch of us did this they would not have to settle for used strings. I will buy them and mail Wednesday when I go into the store in Ft Smith to give lessons.

I hadn't thought of that. Think I'll do it, too. I seldom change strings on my six stringer. I kind of just have it around to help learn chord progressions for my steel improvisations.

I'm confused. Regular Guitar (six string) or steel guitar strings?
I would like to donate a set or send the equal dollars to help buy a huge order to send..

As far as I know they are only accepting sets of regular guitar strings. Probably because at this time anything more is beyond their scope. But since the initiator of the project is a singer songwriter, someone may have to explain to him the difference between a set of steel guitar strings and a set of guitar strings made of steel. Till now I have just been sending used string sets. Jackie Gaston is the project manager.
