Topic: backup iTunes to external HD |

I thought this would be an easy task after I loaded a bunch of CDs to iTunes.
I tried 'Backup' but this gives you the option to go to CDs or DVDs. I tried 'export' and I can only get 'Music.txt" to come up, and even it doesn't want to go to MY Book HD.
I think its probably just me learning to get around on this new Mac.

| Cal, I noticed your screen shot is from a MAC.. I use windows.. while I can back up the "my music " files from my docs... to my external HD, I can't seem to back up my ITunes library.. only text link and a resourses file that I found while looking around in the files.. but it is not the actual music library..any ideas? Thnx |

| Bo, on my Windoze comp the iTunes folder is in my Music folder, just like on a Mac. I've never tried it, but I'd think you could drag it over to the external HD, too. Maybe you have a different location specified for your iTunes library. You can check that in iTunes Preferences/Advanced, but the default is your Music folder. |
