Has anyone tried the semi-hard Gator GK-49 keyboard case for a D6 or D8? I haven't seen one in person, but it looks like it should fit (only a few inches too long). I don't know if the semi-hard case is really strong enough to protect it from light use, but having wheels is a real plus.
Any experiences? |

... and since I play Cajun music, the "Gator" on the side is pretty cool, too. |

Do the GATOR folks have the dimensions or their cases listed somewhere?

My Dual Pro is set up next to my PC here, and I just measured it........ 12 inches wide on the bridge end, 11 inches wide on the tuner end, and 28 3/4 long. It should fit with room to spare. It may have room for legs also, since the width is over 15 inches on the case. The case is listed as 38 inches long, which is likely an outside dimension, as are the width and depth. The guitar is about 2 3/4 inches high, and the case is listed as over 5 inches, so some arrangement for the legs should be possible. |

I just looked at a bigger Gator case and I think it will work. The only concern is that the top is a little flimsy and I might want to reinforce it. The bottom and sides are stiff and fine, so I ordered the smaller model from a local shop since they didn't have it in stock. I'll let y'all know how it works out. |
