Auction on eBay.

I had a 1949 and as I recall the s/n was 2 or 3 numbers but had zeros in front. I may be wrong but isn't a four number s/n from 1950 or later?

According to Gruhn's Guide, the domed knobs and Phillips-head screws indicate this one is 1952 or later.

It's not a '49. Probably '53 or '54. The screws would be slot head, the back would be painted blue, the fingerboard graphic would be different. All that said, a '54 Champion is a good guitar.
