We opened for them last night, and if you want to hear some excellent country I highly recommend him. Good voice and a terrific four piece band behind him. Danny Martinez (not sure of spelling) played great steel and guitar. He switched between them faster than anyone I've ever seen. It was nice to hear a country picker that sounded country for a change. We have a very good guitar player but he is a rocker. I'm not against rock, but it's good to hear country that sounds country. |

He has an awesome country voice. He can sing all the new country artists under the table.
His CD from 2002, "That's Why I Sing This Way" is great. |

I have heard it said by respectable musicians that Singletary may just be the greatest country music singer alive.
He reminds me of the greats in their heyday. His voice actually gives me chills. "The Old Violin".....my oh my, does he ever sing the #$^& out of that song. _________________ Jackson Steel Guitars

I have his CD "That's Why I Sing This Way" and it's a keeper for sure. There ain't a bad cut on the thing and it's country to the core. I had the pleasure of seeing him live at the Grand Ol' Opry last August and he tore 'em up!.....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

When we opened for him I was talking with him for ten minutes before he introduced himself. He was so un assuming that I thought he was part of the band crew. One of the friendliest down to earth country people you will ever meet. Oh, what a voice! |

I had the priviledge of touring with Daryle for 2 years. He definitly has a knockout voice. I could go into some stories but will save that for another time. I'm glad to hear he found a good country band. Last I knew he was touring with a 4 piece rock band that barely knew his material. Hope he has his life back in order and is movin on up. Whip

Yes, the band said they call him Danny Martinez, so I did not know what name he uses. A very good picker, and kind of a character. I took my Carter that night instead of the Mullen I usually play. Before I even met him he walked up to the stage and said 'when are you gonna get a real steel?' I didn't know if he was joking or not, but after we played our set he was all compliments on the sound of the Carter. He told me about a CD he's working on, I want to hear it when it's released. |
