Major7th tuning?

I normally tune to C6, 6 string variety (CEGACE). Is there such a thing as a major7th tuning? I want to strum a major 7th chord (not just 3 strings) on one song. What are y'all's thoughts on the matter?
Thanks

Just tune the "A" up a whole tone to "B" and strum a Cmaj7 chord.

Alternatively, tune your G string a whole step down to F and strum an Fmaj7 chord.

Or, if you are using lighter gauge strings, do a finger pull behind the bar from A to B.
(If you only wish to play the one maj7th chord without changing the tuning). http://www3.telus.net/public/lake_r/

Thanks for the replies, I wondered if the strings could handle going a step up or down, but I guess that's all they do "over there in pedal steel land." I'll give those a try and see how they sound...and I'll start working on my 'pull' technique.
