Right now it's got 1 and 7, F#-G, so you can get the dom. 7 with AB pedals. I hardly ever use it, and was wondering if there's a better use for this lever. I have the Franklin change on pedal 4, so no need for that. How about the F# to G#? Is that a good place for that change? _________________ Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. On my new Zum, I had Bruce put the E to F# change on the vertical. This way, when I have the A & B pedals engaged, I can engage the vertical knee and get the same effect as switching my foot to the B & C pedals. (I never really liked that move.) |

I have E-F# on my LKV and it's a great way to get some Mooney licks and lot's of rock phrasing can be found using it.

Since a while ago I lower the B's and find it a useful change.
In fact, when i play my other guitar, with four knee levers, i miss that vertical quite often.
Guess i'll stick with it. _________________ 1983 Emmons D10 SKH, Carter SD10, Nashville 112, Session 500, ProfexII, Lapsteels, GT-Beard reso, guitars of all kinds...

I lower the B's with RKL, so I don't need that, and I'm comfortable with the BC move. _________________ Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. Piles of other stuff. |

Buddy commented about swapping changes a few years back, and it's in the archives here somewhere with regard to the E's...
What he said was something like this when you make changes..
It's not only about what you are adding but what you may be loosing.
Now he didn't mean that to imply that he has not had Steels with some very out of the box copendents but rather understand the totality of it all. |

I have F# to G on strings 1 & 7. I use it quite a bit. It doesn't just give you a flat 7th tone when using A&B pedals (giving an A7th), but is a good lick pedal also. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Well, after thinking and checking, I think I'm going to move the B-Bb from RKL to LKV and put 2nd string D# to E and 6th string G# to F# on RKL, like Buddy's copedent on the link here, though he probably has something different by now. There's some great stuff you can get using the split with B pedal and that lower. Listen to his "Blue Eyes," e.g. Time to order some stuff from the good people at Mullen and get my allen wrench ready. _________________ Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. One really good option for that lever is G#--E...I always loved that change and it does a lot.Used it for years.
