Mandolin Madness

Post by John McGann »

While sadly playing nearly zero steel at this time, I am happily teaching mandolin (and guitar) at Berklee, and put together a show featuring faculty, staff and students.

Mandolin

Nice pickin' John!!

I bought one of your mandolin teaching DVDs and I don't recall seeing any of those licks in it!

Now that I think of it, it was titled Rhythm Mandolin - OK, so where do I get some of those licks?

:)

John thanks for the heads up.

My computer is not hooked to audio play back at the moment,
it just moved 4 meters from the patchbay.
Need a LOT more wiring work.
But when I DO get it hooked up
I will definitely enjoy this.

Keep it up.

I was jamming last night in Phuket
and played a very nice F5 copy from Duff.
this mad ausie character, Tony, had it and a fiddle.

We stared doing old timey fiddle breakdowns
outside the jazz/blues club where we had
been doing an electric RnB blues jam set.

We stopped about 20 people leaving for about
30 minutes and we had just met the day before
and this was our 1st picking session.
Felt good! :)
