Rob - love your avatar picture. :)

Love the concept of Trayler Parker and the Propane Tanks. I'm sure you get a certain amount of flak from the 'purists,' but who cares? When your website said "bluegrass with drums...," I was a bit worried, but then seeing the pic with a drummer playing with brushes, and just snare and kick, it made total sense. About as much drums as I like to hear in an ensemble, actually, unless it's surf.

:)

Would love to hear that band live sometime. I have to come up to Tennessee from Florida in the next month or so (not sure when yet). Is there a club where I can hear y'all play?

Sorry for the 'NEW' post to another thread. I get distracted, and then I hit the NEW button, instead of the REPLY button.

So Todd, How long have you been a member again???

Have you taken your medication today?

My meds...

I haven't taken my meds yet, as I haven't gotten them from Nurse Ratched!

:P

You did just remind me that I need to take my Prilosec.

Oh yes, by the way, the T8 still sounds and plays great! I don't really play it out anymore, since I've been taking the waaaaaay more portable frypan steels, but sure do love playing it at home.

I've edited the title of this discussion to refer to Rob Haines, whose topic you were intending to answer. Welcome Rob!

Thanks

Trayler Parker and the Propane Tanks will be appearing at Norm's River Roadhouse (Nashville)on March 28, then again in the afternoon on April 19.

It's quite a challenge to play steel with a bluegrass group, but sometimes we straight ahead grass without the drums and I play mandolin. Check out Trayler's video on YouTube:
