Hi - I am a longtime reader of this forum, and now a member. I met some of you as recently as Rick's Hawaiian Steel Guitar Summit in Berryville. What an event that was, and it was great to put faces to names. The wealth of knowledge on this forum is incredible, and I read it daily. I love all forms of steel guitar, but my passion is Hawaiian. I listen to it much better than I play it!!! Thanks for letting me join your community. Regards, Dan

Dan, It just goes to show you that your passion is in the right place. Image

If you want to put more faces to names come on over to the Winchester (Aloha International) convention or the Joliet (HSGA) convention. There is a lot of Hawaiian music with a great deal of variety.

Hey Dan and Robert, I met both of you in Berryville at the Summit-- welcome to "No Peddlers". This is considered the friendliest place on the Forum (usually) so let's not have any trouble out of you... Image

As a fellow North Carolinian who travelled with Dan up to Millwood: a big hey to everybody I met- it was a great weekend & great to put names & faces together... it's been said more eloquently by others, but I want again to thank Rick for a great party.

I have to blame this forum and HSGA members that I heard in Millwood for inflaming a case of smoldering GAS for a hollow-neck tricone- wish my wife would accept that explanation...

Dan: did you ever locate cup-holders that would fit on a Style 1 National lattice-work?

You don't need cupholders--you just need good balance. This will be part of my lesson. Image

I don't have that "balance thing" down too good.....I'm pretty good at damping the strings and cones, so I just have to use a straw..... Image

Howard, At one point in time I saw a sausage on the stairs, but when I came back later, I saw a few hams! Image
