Does anybody know how to change the font when using the fretboard only print option.

The small non-bold font is hard to read and distinguish from the frets and strings in many cases.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Try this:

Click on the "A" icon > 4th from left side.

Choose a dark well defined font like "Arial Black"

Try different regular sizes to get the right look.

Size 10 in a regular font (not bold or italics) works for my printer but each will vary somewhat.

Good Luck.

Gary, I don't get this, it doesn't jibe with the screen I'm using:-

I'm on the ClicTab steel guitar screen. I go to the "guitar" selection on the upper left; it gives a pull-down which lists "print". This gives another pull-down which lists "Print Guitar". That's what I'm working with.

Looks like you've pulled a quote from another thread to offer help. I appreciate it. Do you have a reference to the thread?

Thanks, Bob

I've sent an e-mail to the author of ClicTab; maybe he'll answer. If so, I'll post the result with his permission of course.

Gary thanks again for trying, but I don't see any "A" icon on the screen.

OK . . . hummmm .... let's see. I'm on version 6.0.5

You should be on the screen that shows the Fretboard only.

At the top left are the follwoing icons left to right. File, Save, Set up (this is the screen to set up your copendant) and then a BIG A. Click on the big "A" icon and this should lead you into my suggestion.

Also, from this same acreen you can click "Options" menu item and get to the same "Font Size" menue box.

Let me know if this helps.

Looks like the disconnect is that I have version 5, back from '99.

From your description the corresponding screens are set up differently. I don't have the same set of options, for example the big A. On the Steel Guitar screen I can go to "Options" and get a pull down that offers Guitar Color, Guitar Notes Font, Guitar Notes Color, and Show Bar.

But here's the thing - in my version, these options change only the SCREEN fonts for the steel guitar, not the PRINT version when I select Print Guitar from the File option on the same screen. Looks like my printed guitar options may be hardwired.

Maybe Ron Turner will respond, but looks like my options (if I want it bad enough) is to upgrade to V6.

Again Bo, thanks very much for your efforts.

I get a lot of mileage from printing scales to get pocket patterns and doing skull sessions with the printout, using them at the guitar, etc. so this is why I'm trying for a better font - it's hard to see at music stand distance.
