Can you imagine th4e impact it would have had on the history of the steel guitar if they had hired Buddy or Lloyd instead of the strings?

"Night Life" would have been awesome if only it had some steel in it. I bet Buddy Emmons could have done a good job with that one.

"Nite Life" needs a banjo.

All the songs that my wife wrote.

My wife Karen is a songwriter and she wrote over 5000-songs before I met her.She had several done in Nashville with Lloyd on steel.But there are still many many to go.So if you'd ask me which songs don't have steel and to.....then I have to say.....Karen's songs.

I would like to hear steel subbed in for the heavy doses of accordian in popular Mexican music. I think it would be a great fit.

Patsy Cline's "Crazy" should've featured steel, along with Floyd Cramer's piano work. The Willie Nelson version of "Crazy" features steel.

Hey Bo,
I think some kind of horned instrument like a flute or oboe would really help that Night Life song too. Can't you just hear it against that electronic, jazzed up Bela Fleck banjo? Ooooo.

Oh and all those Johnny Cash songs that had no steel, like Ring of Fire, Jackson, and others.

I think the National Anthem should have steel! (Not 'God Save The Queen' - I mean your one..)

I've done the Medora Musical for three years now (that's around 360 shows) and I always add some E9th to it at the start of every performance; it's got some nice changes...

Jimmy Day IS playing on The Everly Brothers' 'Maybe Tomorrow' and 'I Wonder If I care As Much', both from the 'Bye, Bye, Love' sessions. He's down in the mix, but he's there, all the same.

I've heard a mix of 'Bye, Bye, Love' with steel quite prominent, and with Chet playing some more-involved fills that the ones that made it on to the single.
