I didn't see everything at the ISGC. My friend Johnny tells me that he saw some nice, inexpensive lap steels at a booth to the left of the stage. Looking at the stage map in my program, I figure he must be talking about Jeffco or Suncoast - not sure which.
I can't find anything about these two vendors. Does anyone here know them? _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

I think he meant Jeffco. They did have a booth to the left of the stage in the main ballroom. They had some interesting stuff, including a Wilcox or two if I recall correctly. The only lap steels I remember seeing were Morrells and Recording Kings (the import kind), but it was all starting to run together by then and I could be wrong. |

That sounds correct. He described the lap steels and they sounded like Recording Kings. Those look pretty nice in pictures - are they any good? _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

I haven't played one myself. I seem to remember some folks on the Forum thinking that they weren't bad for the money. |
