Sounds like fun; unfortunately I probably won't be able to attend due to work commitments.

By the way, bought your book on lap steel on Amazon, very very good.

Andy,
Does the BMFA have a permanent collection of lap steels or is this just a temporary exhibit?

Thanks, Aled!

Richard, the MFA has a small, but choice collection of guitars including a handful of lap steels in their permanent collection. The musical instrument curator is a guitar fan and mounted a big guitar show called "Dangerous Curves: The Art of the Guitar" in 2000. Looks like you can still get the catalog:

Andy, if you go, please ask him about his (semi-fretted) Breedlove steel. I'd be especially interested to know if there are any recordings of his that feature it.
