I'm going to be visiting a week before the Dallas show in SA...and then on up to the show..
1) I'd like to contact Ricky Price..who played Buffalo and Rochester for many years. Love to see him again.
2) I'd like to come out and hear some good Country Music..Where should I go in SA?..names and addresses would sure be nice.
Looking so forward to this trip..going to visit my sister there as well..(who is new to your area)..We'd love some local knowledge as to where to go..and what to see.

John T. Floore's Country Store is located in Helotes,Tx.,which is not far from San Antonio.
You can get their ph# from 411 and ask them about their schedule. Everybody from local to national plays there sooner or later. Good food and a nice outdoor stage and dance floor,weather permitting(or not). We've done shows out there in the pouring rain, but they just keep on two-steppin'....
If you make it there dont believe the sign out front that advertises Willie Nelson every Sat nite,though..
that was awhile back. |

| Richard....my suggestion would be to check the web sites of Billy Mata , Bobby Flores , Jake Hooker , an Justin Trevino.....they all have great players. Rick Price is playing for Hooker and also check Amber Digby....the awesome Dicky Overbey plays with her. There are many very fine steel players in S A and you'll have a ball. Bandera Tx will have someone as well as Quihi, Tx. |

I appreciate the input on this ,,Mike/Larry..I will forward this onto my sister, hopefully she can check out these places ahead of time. Are you guys playing the Dallas show?. I have been watching for a program schedule on the TSGA website...haven't seen anything as yet.
