This tune was written and arranged by Chick Holland and sung by Rachel Dickson , good friends of mine with enormous talents, with the steel guitar backing by myself. Chick tells me that he was inspired by the sight of a tall ship of this name with wind-filled white sails, while working as a pearl diver in the South Pacific.

Kay---this is as beautiful song as Ive ever heard. The Lady singing has a perfect voice and talent. The steel player aint bad either. I just really love this kinda music keep it up...

Thanks Norm, Ali, I shall convey your sentiments to the others...
Ali, for this recording I used a West Coast C6th lap steel into a Fender Stage DSP160 amplifier taking the pre-amp output to a Punch Factory optical compressor and then to the mixing board. I used a slight amount of echo on the DSP160 to thicken the attack. I added some reverb to match the other tracks on the board for the final mix with voice and the other instruments.

Hi Kay,
Thanks for the information. I really like your sound. Is the Punch Factory that box by Aphex?

Ali, yes it is made by Aphex (the orange colored box) gives good isolation and good compression characteristic for steel guitar in my opinion...
