I like this little tune!

In the rock-n-roll world they would say it has that elusive "garage band sound" which keeps things interesting and unpretentious. The Rolling Stones made the term 'garage' a good thing... Please substitute the words "Honky-Tonk" if 'garage' is not seen as an absolute compliment:) Bravo!

that is a great tune Rick!

Is it my player or is Cathe's voice dubbed in? It sounds like two tracks but not quite in sync.

It is probably my squirrel ran computer. Been gone a few days and didn't feed it...

Thanks Don! Is that South Washington?

Thank you Jerry - London Ont - I been there!

Gerald, thanks so much for posting this tune on the HSGA Audio page.

Ron, I appreciate that.
Toe-tapping is really good for you, it stimulates the circulation and exercises the calf and ankle muscles . .

Well Eric, I've worked a number of honky tonk garages at one time or other - so I take that as a compliment.

G-man, don't blame your squirrel - I'm sure he's giving his all.
Both vocals were recorded twice - overdubbed if you will.
This technique can cover a multitude of sins!
If you listen closely in the last verse to the line "I hope your doggie don't bite" you can hear the harmony where I sang it different the second time . . .

The Reso I played is a 76 Dobro. It plays great and records beautifully.

There's one just like it for sale in the Instruments For Sale section!

"Lurking In The Shadows"

That would make a great name for a band that plays the kind of music my 19-year-old son listens to!
