Forumite Rick Aiello is entering the world of politics.
The results are in from the HSGA Board of Directors election and Rick Aiello won a seat!
The new HSGA Board of Directors for 2006 - 2008 are:
Kamaka Tom *
Lorene Ruymar *
Pete Kahele
Tom Tohma *
Rick Aiello
Don Weber *
Gordon Freitas
Gerald Ross *
Dick Lloyd
(* indicates incumbent)
The new board will officially take over effective July 1, 2006.
In addition to the $150,000 a year salary, Rick is also entitled to three all expense paid trips to Hawaii per year, a company car or outrigger canoe, his choice of a steel guitar from the HSGA Instrument Vault (not to exceed one Stringmaster, one pre-war Bakelite or two MOT Oahus), a kukui nut lei, a $10 gift certificate to the ABC stores and six pounds of Kona coffee.
Yeah right.

Gads, all the perks politicians receive these days ! When I was on the board, I was lucky to receive a coconut, and THEN I had to climb the damned tree to retrieve it !

My preemptive investigation will attempt to thwart corruption and

Seems to me that pic was taken at the YSGC..(Yalta Steel Guitar Convention). Was that only last year ?....Gerald, ya gotta cut down on those ceeeegars and Rick, that geeetar makes for a nice cane .. why not call it an FDR cane ?
