Researches have found a way to exploit the universal plug and play protocol as well as Adobe's Flash to hijack computers and change the primary DNS server

I recommended disabling UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), as well as remote administration, in your routers, plus setting a personal, strong administrator password, for the router (or modem/router combo). There are modem and router exploits in the wild that can be stopped by merely setting a good administrator password on the unit. Disabling UPnP stops that attack vector. Leaving Remote Administration enabled is just asking for trouble.
