I am not a expert and neither is he, but weve had a comment on its manufacture and I dont want to represent anything as not being what its supposed to be.

I think somebody took a S~B cabinet and did some surgery to it. There are some 'Bud parts there.

I'm with Herb, body, endplates, necks ( not fretboards ), pedals and rack, PU's are all Sho Bud. The rest of it is not.

I'm along the lines with the rest of the guys. I was a Sho-Bud player up until 82. What I can do is take a look at it if you would like. I work out of Wood River and have heard and met Scott before. Let me know.

My current opinion is that the guitar is NOT a Shobud. During that time period, early to mid 1960s, several other companies were copying Shobud's design. There have been several threads lately asking about very similar-looking guitars. You might search for them. Other makers that come to mind are Miller, and Marlen, but evidently there were more. I say, not Shobud, but a fairly nice old guitar!

Check out some of the wonderful literature that Michael Lee Allen is posting. Check his Miller thread, and his Marlen thread. You'll see how similar these guitars are to Shobuds.
