I charted out the tune "Please help me I'm falling" this morning and saw something interesting that I hope someone could explain or elaborate on.

First, let me say My knowledge of musical forms is somewhat limited so my terminology might not be correct. This song has a 4 bar intro, then a 16 bar verse, of which the last 8 bars are repeated after the first verse as an instrumental break. Then the entire 16 bar verse is repeated twice.

Is there a name for this kind of musical form? That repeat of the 2nd half of the verse has me curious--it sure sounds good, I just don't know what that's called if anything.

For the curious, this is how I charted it:

1 (1 4) 1 1 (4 1) 2 5 5
1 1 4 4 1 5 1 1

note: ( ) indicates a split measure

What a great tune--thanks to Reece Anderson for showing me how this is done.
