Thanks for bringing a little history to us, Michael!! 
My Rickenbacker collection consists of 1934 Rickenbacker fry pan with black krinkle and 1945 Rickenbacker Bakelite. Both with distinctive, yet different sounds.

The guy with the two frypans on a stand is Pua Almeida. Bobby Ingano has one of those frypans.

Actually, it's Bobby's brother, Ralph, who now owns not only one of the fry-pans pictured with Pua, but both, #s 1 & 2.
Isn't that George Gruhn with the beard? |

Just watched Bobby Ingano play during lunchtime on a BD6 one just like the one pictured above, in the smaller pic, w/string retainer.
He recently picked it up in decent cond. for $350! |
