During recent weeks.......a couple of you folks have expressed an interest in acquiring a "stand" for single neck steel guitar. There are TWO (2) now being auctioned on eBay. Just tho't you might want to know.

ALSO: There is a Rick Bakelite on the site and it appears to be in great condition. HOWEVER, installed over the NUT, is an aluminum type thingie.

Would this likely be a factory installed unit? OR, was this something a player likely installed, like the non-skid carpet that they glued onto the underside of the Bakelite body?

I'd think this aluminum NUT, would adversely affect the TONE. What might the reason be for installing such an item?
