Roy, I had such a great time with John when he did my session. I told him I didin't want any of that Conway crying stuff, just jump on the C neck and play anything you feel like. He laughed and turned it on.

No doubt about it, John was what I call a "top tier" player. That's not a ranking I bestow to just anyone, either! I know what makes a great player, and there's only about a dozen players I'd put in that classification.
John was one of 'em. |

Howdy Roy,,,to say John can tear up a C6 neck would be putting it mildly lol,,the Man was fantstic on C6,as im sure most all the "Fourm" members has seen the "Time Jumpers" D V D with John,It's a 2 hour show,,and to my knowledge,John only does 2 songs on the show that are in "E9",,all the rest were C6 If Im not mistaken,,and believe me,i watched his every move lol,as I remember the Band Leader Kenny Sears made the comment that John did do songs on "The Other Neck" lol,,fantistic D V D,,im lucky to have obtained a copy from my friend,,enjoyed the post Roy..
