I'm pretty new at all of this so in advance please excuse the question if there's a simple explanation. I just bought a Sho Bud Pro 1 and on the A pedal there are two slots for the peg to be in. Here's a couple of pictures that can hopefully explain what I mean.

I'm wondering what is the reasoning behind this and if there is one particular hole that the peg should be in. Should they be aligned or staggered like in the pictures?

Thanks so much for the help.

Using that hole would require more pedal travel to pull the note up. That would make it a little easier for half-pedaling.

I totally agree with Lee. You might like a slightly shorter pedal travel, so switch to the other hole. No one can say which is best for you but you. So please yourself. Try it both ways. Hope this helps

Somebody did that for a reason.

Don't "undo" it unless you have a better reason! Shocked

IMHO, most steelers are WAY too hung up on how their steel looks, instead of how it sounds and plays.

Thanks for the insight. I was just curious as to what the purpose of it is. I appreciate all your help.

Thanks

Yeah Norm what it does is change the amount of leverage required to activate the pedal -- go with what feels right for your style of playing.
