This year's new year's concert by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra will be the 50th concert, so it is really an anniversary. If you love light classical music, I am sure you'll get a chance to watch - the concert will be broadcasted in over 80 countries.
I live about 15 minutes walking distance away from the concert hall, so I can almost here the music live from here.
The only bad thing about it is that the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra still does not feature a steel guitar.
Happy New Year to you all!
Kind Regards, Walter _________________ www.lloydgreentribute.com |

Hello Walter. My wife and I enjoyed the entire 1 1/2 hours of the concert last evening - absolutely magnificent. I love the Emperor Waltz and of couse the Blue Danube. We also loved our visit to Vienna several years ago. |

Hi Walter ~ yes, my wife and I sat and watched the whole concert (as we usually do).
As I said elsewhere in another thread ~ it's great that there are still some things on this planet that can be relied upon to remain unchanged. The music was magnificent, and, in my opinion, couldn't be improved upon ~ not even with the addition of a steel guitar !
Austria is still on my list of "Places To Visit" !
