Where can i find a 8 string pickup?
I have made my first lap steel.And i have already making plans for my next one.
I am thinking a 10 string lap steel.
22/12" scale.I think i have a bug Image

The Jerry Wallace TrueTone TT-8 Is a great eight string pickup with 3/8" pole spacing.

Make your own. You can get all the stuff to make them online. You may have to make the bobbins.

A couple of people make stringmaster pickups, if you want that sound. Jason Lollar makes both 8 and 10 string versions. Seymour Duncan also makes a set; 11034-41 & -42 front side and rear-side pickup for stringmaster.

Dan,

I am wanting to build one myself and was wondering what you did for the bridge and tuning head. I want to make an 8 string.

What did you use for a plan? Any pictures for ideas that you can send.

Matt, you can get as many pictures of lap steels as you want on eBay. I've been collecting them there for a couple of years now.

Lots of variations of lap steel. Everything from frypans to 4-neck consoles.
