Reese, I need some information on my recently acquired “NEW BABY”.
She’s a mid 70's Brown Mica MSA Classic 3/4 Emmons setup.. Serial # is 1C 2700
I’m no judge of guitars, but this is in pristine condition IMHO. Recently serviced, and I’m already deeply in love with her. This is my very first professional guitar and I would like to learn as much about her as I can.
Any help or info you can offer would be greatly appreciated. From what I’ve been told, I couldn’t start with a better model. Many thanks ! _________________ Just remember,

John, you have a great guitar IMO,I have a D-10 classic that is over 35 years old,She IS heavy, but built like a Sherman tank, still solid as a rock, she has been hauled around in car trunks, the belly of buses,in pickup trucks, set up and torn down countless times and keeps on keeping on.DYKBC. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer. You can get an original owners manual as a download off the Carter website. Nice touch by John Fabian.

What else do you need to know? Your guitar was made in early '74. It was a good guitar then, and it's a good guitar now.
The rest is up to you! |

Donny is right on as usual.. mine was 1C2013.. 1974 a Classic S10 5&4 .. it was a hoss of a steel .. needed very little maintenance and played great for 33 years til I sold her.
Keep fresh strings on for every 24 hours of playing time or so and you will never have a tuning or breakage problem _________________ Bo Borland

John P....Thank you for becoming part of what we consider to be the MSA family.
Serial number 1C2700 shows to be a rosewood formica single 10 which left the factory with 5 pedals and 4 knee levers. It was originally sent to CMI who was our distributor at that time. Your guitar was born on May 28th 1974.
Its always great to see those who have pride in the guitar they play. |
