Yes, we did a gig in a Kincardine, ON Canada legion that was a "potted plant gig" for sure! I they leave them there to decorate the stage when nothing is going on and leave them there even when there is a band - less to move after I guess. We weren't as good as these guys though! Great stuff, thanks for sharing.

My friend, Gary McVay, put this video on from 1991. This is actually the first time I ever saw it as I did not realize that it even existed, but I do appreciate him sharing it. Anyhow, I just wanted to mention that Gary McVay if you don't know him, is an excellent singer and musician on steel and guitar. I suggest you check out some of his other videos he has listed, especially the one on "Cross Rhythm". Gary is probably the finest rhythm guitarists alive today at the art of Cross Rhythm. He gives an in depth demonstration in his video. I had the pleasure of working with Gary at the Smoky Mtn. Jubilee here in Pigeon Forge in 1991 and it was one of the highlights of my musical career having him play Cross Rhythm on stage every night, as it just adds so much to the feel.

Herby, have you ever tabbed that version?

Yes, Charles, I actually have 3 different versions tabbed out. The one that is the closest to the one on the video is a C6th version I did on an album called "A Tribute To Buddy Charleton & Leon Rhodes". The version on the CD is actually much more involved than the on you saw on the video. The CD version has some other twin sections added that the guitar player and I play together, but the basic song is the same as the video.
