Bob Grant from Mason City Ia. is singing a TRIBUTE to HANK WILLIAMS SR. at the Light House Event Center here in Albert Lea Mn. Two shows on Sat. Feb 2nd '08'. One at 3pm & another at 7:30pm. Will also feature Billey Jane Kruse on fiddle. (A Midwest Country- Favorite!) Along with the Light House Opry Band. Piano/bass, steel, guitar & drums. Help keepin that good ol' Classic Country ALIVE!

Neil. Bravo!!!! Glad to see that your all doing your part in keeping the traditional country alive!! No better man to have a tribute for than Hank. Senior that is!!\keep on keepin it real country!!¬Smile

Thanks for the comments!! I know there have been countless debates on the "Classic" country sound issue. But it is interesting to note that "Bluegrass" has managed to keep its sound pure and "unmistakeable" for the most part, for decades. Somehow country music has not been able to do the same?? I think the new "STUFF" should have been marketed under a "NEW TITLE"??? Just my opinion. HOWEVER......$$$$$$$$$$$$ RULES!!!!!

Neil> I agree, what their calling country today is not, and that is my complaint!! Call it something else. A lot of the artists that are singing what they call country, can actually sing traditional country very well, but aren't allowed to! Martina Macbride did a classic country cd, and it was a big hit for her!! So the argument that there is no market for it is ludicrous! Anyway, once again thanks for keepin it goin!!
