Hi All -
I'm new to PSG and I'm looking for a teacher in the Rochester, NY area. I also would be happy to drive to Buffalo if necessary.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Mark

Mark, I live in Buffalo, but there are some players in Rochester I know if you are interested.

Kevin -
If you think that any of the players you know in Rochester might be interested in teaching a few lessons I'd like to get in touch with them. Thanks!

As far as I know, Kurt Kowalski is still in or near Holly. If he doesn't teach, I suspect he'd know who does.
(And Kurt - if you're out there, we're loooooog overdue to catch up! My fault, I realize... But all the same, I hope you'll be in touch.)
In the meantime, Mark, say hello to Rochester for me!

Hi Mark... I'm about an hour and a half from Rochester, maybe a bit more.. I don't give lessons anymore, but if you would ever like to take a drive down, I would be happy to spend a few hours with you getting you started, showing you how to set up and adjust your steel, tune it if need be, and can show you a pile of basic techniques that you can use, licks, chords, bar techniques, finger grips and other useful tidbits... I won't turn you into Buddy with a visit, but would help answer a bunch of questions you might have..
It won't cost you a penny.. bring me a donut and we're even...
Otherwise the best advice I can give is look up my friend Kurt Kowalski.. He's a great player, and is really knowledgable in all aspects of steel mechanics, playing techniques, and is a great guy to boot..... good luck!! bob

Another vote for Kurt.
Email me if you need his contact info.
I wouldn't turn down Bob C's offer either.
