Hey, I'm stupid. hat's a black box. I just bought a NV 112, not very pleased with it. It has no drive. I have to turn the Master Gain over 3/4 on, to have any volume at all. The Pre Gain is set to 6. Any have an answer

Did you try any of the suggested settings in the owners manual? They're a good place to start.

maybe something is wrong with it. Mine is set 2 on the pre-gain and 3 on the master, and it drives the other half mad it is so loud.

Andy, Yea, I have all the settings set by the book, except the pre-gain and master. It could be there is something wrong with it. I should hav sent it back right after I got it, but my 45 days is past now. Maybe have to call Peavey. Thanks Jim

Are you using it for lap steel ?

If by "drive" you mean dirty/overdrive sound this may be intentional. The Nashville is a super-clean amp, which is ideal for pedal steel.
