Doesn't the MSA pickup have two screws under the pickup? Mine had, but i drilled two new holes in the front end of the plate to fit a regular wide mount PU, and that worked fine.

Hi Chris, I have a MSA Super Sustain Pickup I bought on e-bay. I thought it would fit my MSA Semi-Classic, but doesn't. I don't have a use for it. I paid $150.00for it, if your interested give me an offer. Thanks Jim

Chris, what pup is in your Carter now? Why the change? I may buy a Carter and was wondering if there was something to avoid. Thanks Dale

Dale, I have a George L 10-1 in my Carter now. It has a deep warm full sound that i like. I love the tone more and more everyday. Carter's are wonderful instruments mechanically and tonaly. A while back i played on a MSA "The Universal" with the SS II pup and i loved the vintage tone of that steel. So I just wanted to experiment with the vintage pup inside of a modern instrument to see what sound i get.
