I once read a fairly serious article by scientists who put speakers in some rubber underpants, so you could feel the musical vibrations in your nether region, without hearing the sound with your ears. The instrument that was considered most pleasurable was the saxophone. But then, I don't recall that steel guitar was in the trial.
