Thanks Greg. Congratulation on yours.
That photo of mine is a couple of years old. The guitar now has tortoise-shell covered Gibson-style speed knobs made by Bill Asher for me that match the pickup covers.

Yeah, so far a favoured "home alone" stress release activity is to noodle a bit...using a Carr Mercury dimed on position #3 of the 3-position boost (that defeats the tone controls) with the Asher on the neck pup with the coil tap...somewhat, shall we say, ballzzy _________________ Head full of this kaleidoscope of brain-freight, Heart full of something simple and slow

I just bought this Asher Electro-Hawaiian from Steinar Gregertsen. I love it! Hard to make myself play anything else...

Thanks! It sounds even better than it looks! Anybody played one of Bill Asher's acoustic Weissenborns? Might need one of those next! |

nut: 1 7/8 inches, bridge: 2 3/8 inches
That's a playable spacing. Just what I like. Many newer guitars have too narrow of spacing. |

Just kidding - I'm glad "Lizzy" lives up to your expectations Don, and I'm confident she has found a good home with you!

Wow, Steinar sold that to you? Makes me think of the line from the Rhubayait "I wonder what the vintner buys one half so precious as the stuff he sells."

She's a beauty, Andy! You won't be sorry! I would gladly give a Stringmaster and EH-150 for mine. In fact, owning my Asher has made playing any of my vintage lap steels kinda like a trip to the museum - fun and interesting. But when I want to make music, I go stright for the Asher. |
