Got this old picture of Porter off the net.
Question If I'm not mistaken is the upright bass player not the same person that our late John Hughey played with in the "Slim Rhodes Show" around 1963?
Any names of the players?

The announcer looks like T Tommy Coutrer. The fellow with the fiddle later became the drummer. Porter refered to the steel player and him as Little Don and Little ????? CC

I believe the Announcer's name is Don Houser. I also agree with Jerry about the Fiddle player not being Mack.

The fiddler is Jack Little, for sure. I got a chance to do a show with Jack recently. We talked for quite a while before the show. He said, "Hey I got something for you to see". He went to his car and brought back an envelope that was full of pictures of him and Porter and Buck and others, taken recently at a 50th anniversary for something (I'm not sure what).

I had a great time on the show with Jack, and he is a super guy. I'm glad he got all those pictures, because a few weeks after that, and after the show we did with Jack, Porter passed away.

Does anybody know where Jack Little lives? I remember a fiddler from Vincennes, Indiana named Jack Little and wondered if it's the same guy.

Same guy Frank,
Little Jack has covered a lot of territory over the years. Smile
I've known him for over 50 years.

I think he still lives in Western KY.
