I had the pleasure of sharing a great meal and some conversation with Jody last Thursday at his friend Sandy's house.
Jody looks fantastic. You'd never know he is 107 years old! Just kiddin' O great Prince of tweed.
He insisted I bring my AERO along to check it out, so I did. He plugged it into Sandy's Karaoky machine and darned if it didn't sound pretty good! (a little slap echo)
All said it was a great evening!
There a few pics on Jody's web site at the bottom of the page. http://jodycarver.com/Photographs.html

Thanks to Sandy and her husband Richard for a great time.

Loni
It was nice meeting you. Your guitar sounded fine. It is second to none. Thank you and your mom and dad for attending the wonderful
dinner and hospitality that was prepared in my honor. That was a real treat. Thank you Sandy and Richard for all you have done for me. Many memories of my days past during my Fender years and then some. It was nice seeing all of you. And to Cathy, Sandy's little sister who I have not seen since she was 4 years old and Janet Sandy's daughter it was wonderful seeing you again.. I had the most wonderful time in California and will remember that time the rest of my life.

Thank you

Jody edited to say Thank you again.<font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by Jody Carver on 04 October 2006 at 05:01 AM.]</p></FONT>

Jody- Those were great Photos of you and you family. All a just great looking family you can be proud of. You didn't look too bad yourself.LOL.

I still sure wish I could have met and known you in 1950 when I was playing my Electra_Harp and all those good tunes of those day.
Just think in 1950 the great Reece and BE were only 13 yrs old.
Boy, we are getting old, but don't tell anybody.LOL. But we are still "Young at Heart".....al

Jody,
Glad to see your on the mend my friend.
Spending that time with my folks and Sandy, Richard and you brings to mind some lyrics I wrote for my parents on their 50th anniversary. Remember, I played the song that night after. I dedicate these to old friends and lovers everywhere.
"My Whole Life Loving You"
(c) Loni Specter
AS I LOOK BACK AT MY LIFE
AND THINK WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN
IF I HADN'T TAKEN TIME
TO MAKE YOU MY FRIEND
AS I WANDER THROUGH THE YEARS
ONE THING THAT IS CLEAR
I KNOW I'D NEVER FIND
A HEART AS TRUE
AND I COULD SPEND MY
WHOLE LIFE LOVING YOU

IF I SEE MY OWN REFLECTION
UNEXPECTEDLY
IT REMINDS ME HOW THE SEASONS
HAVE AFECTED ME
IT ALL SEEMS VERY STRANGE
UNTILL YOU CALL MY NAME

IT'S YOUR VOICE
THAT TURNS MY GREY SKIES
INTO BLUE

AND I COULD SPEND
MY WHOLE LIFE LOVING YOU

ALL THROUGH THE YEARS
LAUGHTER AND TEARS
YES JUST A PART OF HIS PLAN
THE DANCE LINGERS ON
LONG AFTER WE'RE GONE
WHERE JOY BEGINS
AND LOVERS SPIN

WHEN I THINK BACK TO THE TIMES
THAT WE HAVE BEEN APART
I ALWAYS KEPT YOU FLAME BURNING
IN MY HEART
I GUESS I'D HAVE TO SAY
I WOULDN'T CHANGE A DAY
YOU'RE THE ONE
WHO MAKES IT ALL SEEM NEW
AND I COULD SPEND MY WHOLE LIFE
LOVING YOU
