Fiddle player looking for work

Post by Jody Sanders »

Fiddle player looking for work. Call David Varnado at 406 724 7564 or 409 344 1821. I highly recommend this fiddle player. He is one of the best out there. Jody.

Jody, didn't he work for Loretta Lynn as well as Neal McCoy? If so, he is a great player, and guy.

I met Dave several years ago, when he played fiddle in Chris LeDoux's band.

I agree, Dave's an excellent musician and although I only met him once, he treated me like an old friend. He'd be a true asset to any band.

Jody, if you speak with David, tell him, Kevin Fowler's ex-steel picker wishes him the best. :)

Keep on pickin'!

Yes Danny, same David. A great fiddle player and a real nice guy. He still maintains a home in Nashville, but as things are a little slow, he is in the Beaumont area and would like to pick up a few gigs. Jody.

I will definitely pass his name around. We (Janie Fricke) did a few package shows with him when he was with Loretta. I agree, great guy and player. He will stay busy here :):)

If anyone is interested, I have lunch with David about 3-4 times a week, when he's not on the road with Neal McCoy, and Neal doesn't mind, as long as he is on the bus when they pull out. He also has played fiddle on my gospel steel guitar CD. He loves playing with Neal, but when they are not booked, he likes to play with anyone needing a fiddle. He doesn't mind traveling from his home town either. ( Nederland, Texas). He also has a harmonizer he invented, and patented, and can sound like 2-3-4-5 or more (even like a full orchestra) fiddlers in a band, all by himself. He estimates he's played the "Grand Ole Opry" over 100 times in 27 yrs.,and has played for several top country artist. He's a great addition to any band.
