The wedding season is just around the corner and Kay Das is ready!
Here's a beautiful duet of Kay and his friend Chick Holland (guitars and keyboard) on the "Hawaiian" classic - The Hawaiian Wedding Song (Ke Kali Nei Au).

Any steel guitarist will relate to being asked often to play "that Elvis Presley Hawaiian Wedding tune". Here is my version, a little different, played on two C6th guitars, the West Coast lap steel and the MSA Classic XL pedal steel. With 8 strings on the lap steel and 10 on the pedal steel, there were eighteen strings and a few pedals to choose from. I need to acknowledge the excellent keyboard and accompanying guitars played by Chick Holland.
Written in 1926 by Charles King for his operetta, "Prince of Hawaii", it was entitled "Ke Kali Nei Au" which sounds so much better than the modern title, and which translates to "Waiting for Thee".
This track is dedicated to my good steel guitar friends Don "Kona" and Joan Woods.
