Does anyone here have experience with an Oahu Diana model? Is it considered a quality guitar?

I am a novice looking to buy a vintage guitar but I have a tight budget. I am not familiar with anything but Fender, Gibson, Rick,Morrell.

I recently sold my Fouke. It was a great guitar but I want to wear a hat & pretend I am Don Helms.

I had one, a real sweetie. Definitely one of those guitars I regret selling...

Mine's a 'keeper'. 25" scale. I like looking at it. sounds a bit harsh till I roll the tone off a bit.

I've got an Oahu tonemaster that looks like the Diana model. Did they use the same pickup?

If they did, my Tonemaster has a beautiful sweet tone.
[This message was edited by Andy Sandoval on 28 January 2006 at 02:38 PM.]

I have a Diana and a Tonemaster and the pickups are nearly identical.
Both guitars sound great though quite different. Incidentally, that's real Brazilian rosewood on the fretboards and if you clean them up you may see some beautiful figuring in the wood.

Cheers,
