is it a wide or narrow mount BL710 that goes on an Sho~Bud LDG ?
is the string spacing not too wide on that steel for those pick ups ?
or is it a specific BL710 for Sho~Bud ?
i ask this 'cause the string spacing is narrower on my Zum than it was on my Professional
Thanx again for the help & replies |

The LDG is the same spacing as a Professional. Narrow mount should get you dialed in. The 710 is what Lloyd Green uses, as I understand, in his LDG. I play a Professional and a '73 LDG, they are the same. Hope this helps. |

I had a BL710 in an LDG at my house for a few months. It sounded great. Clear and focused. That warm sho bud sound shown right through. _________________ Bob |

I should clarify, The LDG and the Professional take the same pickup, and have the same string spacing, at least the roundfronts do. |

Yes Crowbear it is the Bill Lawrence 710 "Narrow mount" that you want.

One thing to be aware of, as I was told by Becky Lawrence, is that on some Sho-Buds the opening for the pickup is a little too narrow to accommodate the 710 narrow-mount, and needs to be enlarged slightly in the fretboard-to-changer dimension. |

Brint brings up a good point.
The '73 LDG opening measures 1-3/8"W and 4-5/8"L, as does our '68 Shobud 6139 singleneck.
The BL 710 in my possesion measures 1-11/32"W and 4-1/2"L, so you have 1/32" to slide it in. My original Shobud pickup measures 1-1/8"W and 4-1/2"L. Truetones are the same as the Shobuds.
Hope this helps, Crowbear. |
